Before being accepted into the ministry, applicants are rigorously interviewed to discern their level of commitment, medical and mental stability. Security risks such as men prone to violent behavior, or someone on certain medications cannot be effectively managed at the Timothy House and will be encouraged to seek treatment elsewhere. Financial obligations are reviewed at this time as well. Although we are a ministry with a heart, we are not a free program. It is not about money, but we have to have money to operate. We do not receive any state or government funding. All of our funds are raised from tuition charges and fund-raisers as well as from people just like yourself who commit to making a difference in their community by supporting this ministry.
There are Three Easy Steps to enter the Timothy House. You have to have an interview with the Pastor and/or staff personnel and be accepted into the house. You have to have your financial obligations met. And you have to be ready to comply with all the rules and regulations of this ministry. Once these three things are accomplished, if a bed is available, you would be able to join our ministry.
If you are on Parole you must have your counselor call to schedule a phone interview. After your phone interview you must get clearance from your Parole officer to be admitted into the Timothy House. You will not be allowed to parole out to this address without clearance from your parole officer.
If you are on Probation, you may come to the facility to have the interview but you must be given clearance from your probation officer to enter the Timothy House facility. Failure to follow through with these rules will cause you to be dismissed from the program.
If you, or someone you love may be interested in applying to the Timothy House for treatment, please contact us at (706) 253-5840. In case of emergency you may call the off hours ministry line at 770-324-4994 and ask for Ms. Nancy or a staff member.
